Awhile back, I requested samples from this cosmetics company called Face Candy Couture. They are doing a giveaway right now. Check them out! I think I will do a review of them once I get more than 5 minutes to myself. =)

So sorry....
I have been so bad about updating this blog. I have been able to keep up on all of you, but that is all I usually have time for. I had thought I would over the Christmas break, but since that is my only break from my school that I get, I was going to relax and do things that I wanted or had not done in awhile. Just give you a little update about how our lives have been.... sorry no pics this post....
Me-
I finished my first year back to college at the end of November. I am now a Junior and I am starting to really dive into degree-centric classes. First up, which I will finish next week, is Introduction to Sociology. Next I have a math class (not looking forward to it since I haven't done math since I was 18), then several psychology classes. I am on track to graduate mid-Septmeber 2013 and I have been ale to maintain a 4.0. Plus I have been busy being mom and wife. I turned 28 this year and celebrated my 6 year wedding anniversary. I have spent time with some of my good friends and hope to do more of that in this new year. I really need to find time for myself this year. I have been feeling run down. I have also felt that I have not been able to doing right, in other areas of my life, and that I am not living up to my expectations or others expectations, though I should not care what others think (well maybe care about my hubby and kids' opinion at least). So I am going to try to just improve myself. I have thought about setting a goal of losing weight and eating better, but I know I probably won't succeed. However, I think I will have to try harder (I am a horrible procrastinator). I will take more time to do the little things I enjoy: reading, listening to music, drawing. Plus, not drop any of my duties outside myself: the boys, Mark, school, family and friends. This past Sunday also happened to be my 2-yr blogoversary! Hopefully, I can be at least a little better updating, maybe once or twice a month.
Mark-
Mark has been working long hours, which unfortunately affects us all. We never get to see him and vice versa. I do not get a break until after the boys are in bed since the last few weeks Mark has gotten home anywhere from 9 to 12am! But, everyone loves him at work. They make sure to tell him that they appreciate him and his work all the time, which means a lot to him. Mark celebrated his 32nd birthday this year (the day before me). We had a dinner with some friends and family to celebrate both of our birthdays. It is something we hav not done before, and since we had a relatively good year, decided why not. mark got a 97 Honda civic which freed up the Trailblazer for me. It has saved us a little on gas since he travels to and from Hemet and I only use my gas guzzler to drive to and from Hunter's school. I am so appreciative of himand his hard work. I try to tell him as often as I can, especially when I see him running on empty. I try to make him feel very appreciated.
Hunter-
Hunter has finished up his firt semester of Kindergarten and is loving it. It has not bee easy for him or us, but he has a wonderful teacher that has been working with us to help him improve in some areas , but she does not forget to tell us how well he does in other areas or how smart and sweet he is. It makes a difference to us and to Hunter to know that she cares a lot about him and the other students. He will be turning 6 in April and I am thinking this might be first big, separate birthday party away from his brother. I am thinking we might do something at Pump It Up for all his friends at school and outside of school. I then was thinking of doing just family this year to celebrate both the boys' birthdays. Then on each actual birthday do just the 4 of us. But we will see. Hunter is anxious to start back next Monday, especially since he has had 2 playdates over Christmas break with boys from his class. I can't wait to see how much more he grows before school gets out.
Jaxon-
Jaxon will be turning 4 in May. I cannot get over how fast my little chunky monkey is growing up. He already talks about going to school with Hunter. I have been really bad about doing preschool with him since Hunter started. I do chalk it up to no energy whatsoever on my part. Between my school, Hunter's homework, and running back and forth, I am exhausted. But I do try to do fun little educational things with Jaxon, when I have the energy. I also try to do little Mommy and Jaxon things, like getting donuts in the morning after dropping off Hunter or watching a show or playing "cave" on my bed with my sheets. We are still trying to potty train Jaxon. He is very stubborn, so usually when we try to get him to go potty it is a fight with him in tears, screaming at us and us screaming back because we are so frustrated. We are hoping that the closer he gets to 4 and the idea of starting Kindergarten in another year he will finally decide to be a "big boy" like Hunter did, but right now we are not holding our breath.
Family-
We are still living with my parents, which sometimes drives me nuts. Mark has become more at ease, but of course we both still are dying to be back on our own. Maybe once we get our tax return back and pay some stuff off, with some going to savings, we can reevaluate. I am hoping by summer, but there is no telling when. We try to spend as much time as we can just the four of us, and with our extended families as well. Not to mention our friends.
Family and Friends-
We have had many exciting milestones in our friends and families lives that we are going to be able to share with them. I have a cousin who is getting married in May, that I hope Mark and I can go to. It would be our first overnight trip away from the boys (I think I am more than ready for it, but we will see lol). I have had one friend get married, another become engaged and another on the cusp of being engaged (waiting on the phone call from her any moment lol). I have had friends have babies and also become pregnant with their second. My cousin is now pregnant and engaged. Another cousin gave birth to her 3rd child. I have had friends break up, get back together or celebrate anniversaries this past year. We have also had some sadness. My grandmother, I just found out last night the latest, is doing poorly. She had fallen down a few weeks ago and hurt her shoulder. She sprained her toe over the weekend. My aunt took her to get her toe looked at (and her shoulder since it is still bothering her) and they found a large mass in her lung which they think could be lung cancer, which we are not completely surprised about since she smoked for a very long time. My grandmother does not speak anymore, and she has a hard time remembering who anyone is (due to dementia and the many mini strokes she has had over the years) . She now needs a wheelchair, and they do not know what course of treatment she will need. It depends on the additional tests. She could do surgery (but there are major risks at her age, she is 85) or chemo (again major risks) or it could have spread so much so that there is no treatment except make her comfortable. I unfortnately think she will not live to see 2013, but we will see. I am trying to be optimistic, but also prepare myself for when it does happen. I just hope I will be able to go up to Washington for the funeral when she does pass. However, that depends on many factors, mostly cost factors.
I am hoping, looking forward to, excited and (yes, this will be coming out of my mouth, hard to believe if you really know me) praying that 2012 will be the best year for the Millett family.
Happy New Year everyone!

Long time....
I know it has been a long time since I have posted an entry or even pictures here. Things have been crazy around here. Ido not even have much time to post this but I will type fast to fill you in on what is going on around the Millett household these days.
Today is Jaxon's 3rd birthday! I can't believe how fast the time has gone. We are keeping it really simple and low key for today. Jaxon gets to do or play with whatever he wants and gets to choose his favorite place for dinner..... McDonald's. He then gets to open up his presents from me and Mark. On Staurday we went to Chuck E. Cheese for Jaxon Day. Since Mark had to work we couldn't do whatever and go wherever Jaxon wanted so we did that Saturday. Both the boys had a blast.
Mark started a new job 2 weeks ago. Long story... it gets me upset still when I think about it, but he seems to like his new place so I am happy.
We had the boys' joint birthday party May 7th. That was stressful (coincides with the long story mentioned above) but everyone had a great time. Mark now wants to do a get together park day with food 1x every couple months cause of how much fun everyone had. I think it is a great idea as long as I do not have to do much work. LOL
Hunter's birthday was on April 23rd. We called it Hunter Day and did whatever he wanted. We went to breakfast, went to the duck pond, went to a park, went to a local children's science museum, Professor Pennypickle's, and went out to dinner. Then we had brownies and he opened his presents from us and my parents. He had so much fun!
Mark's mom, step dad and brother came into town for a short visit at the beginning of April and it was great seeing them, we just wished they had stayed longer and had more time with them. They split their time between 2 of Mark's sister's homes so we were going over there when we could to see them, but hopefully next time we can have just a day with us and them to spend together.
We had a great low key Easter. We stayed at home all day which was nice. The boys really enjoyed finding the eggs becuase the Easter Bunny hid 2 extra special eggs for each of them. The Easter Bunny and its helper (me and my Dad) enjoyed finding places for the eggs to where it was difficult but easy enough for the boys. Same with Mother's Day. We took my mom out to dinner at CPK after Mark, the boys and I went to church.
For Valentine's Day Mark and I had dinner a few days before since we do not want to infringe on anyone else to watch the boys. We had a nice initimate dinner. It was great.
We visited the Wild Animal Park the weekend before Hunter's birthday. The boys had so much fun! The last we had gone was when I was about 7 months prgnant with Jaxon, so it was his first time. They were so good with all the walking and really enjoyed seeing all the different animals especially the butterfly exhibit and the giraffes!
We have had several double dates with another couple. We have gone to the movies, dinner, miniature golf, just lots of fun. They have 2 kids, a boy and girl around my boys' age so the kids always have fun. We have also gone to several friends' kids' birthday parties. The boys have a lot of fun when they get to play with kids their own age since we are usually stranded at home during the day, we don't get much playdates.
I have also still been having my dinner dates with my best girlfriend from hs A. We always have so much fun together. The bpys and Mark both love her too so its great! We are planning on taking the boys to Sea World this summer once she is done teaching for the summer. It should be fun. I have had a couple of lunch dates with other friends from high school too and they have been fun.
Hunter starts Kindergarten in August! I am excited yet sad to see my oldest and my baby go to school. He is excited though and can't wait. I signed him up for the new extended day class and we should find out soon if he gets in or not due to a lottery for spots. I will continue to homeschool preschool for Jaxon. I am excited though because I get to spend the next 2 yrs with several hours of just Jaxon and me time which I haven't had with him like I did with Hunter.
I am still going to school. I am able 5 or 6 classes in. There are days where I am stressed from trying to get my homework done and deal the boys and everything else in our lives but its going well. I have a 4.0 average so far so I think I am doing good. =)
I think that is everything. I have to finish somethings for school along with decorate the boys' door for Jaxon's birthday, plus wrap his presents and get myslef ready for the day.
Hope to update soon!!! XOXO
P.S.- Even though I have not kept up on writing, I have been able to stay up-to-date on all your lives! LOL

Steal
So first off it was a year on 1/1 that I started this blog. I haven't been writing lately as much as I have wanted to but thats life. So anyways Happy Blog-iversary to me!
Now the reason I titled this one Steal is cause my step-sister-in-law (catch all that =D ) posted it today, but I loved it so much I am stealing it from her (of course though I will give credit to her who got in in an email from a friend who got it from somewhere else).
Thinking of Having Kids? Do this 11 step program first!
This is funny:
Lesson 1
1. Go to the grocery store.
2. Arrange to have your salary paid directly to their head office.
3. Go home.
4. Pick up the paper.
5. Read it for the last time.
Lesson 2
Before you finally go ahead and have children, find a couple who already are parents and berate them about their...
1. Methods of discipline.
2. Lack of patience.
3. Appallingly low tolerance levels.
4. Allowing their children to run wild.
5. Suggest ways in which they might improve their child's breastfeeding, sleep habits, toilet training, table manners, and overall behavior.
Enjoy it because it will be the last time in your life you will have all the answers.
Lesson 3
A really good way to discover how the nights might feel...
1. Get home from work and immediately begin walking around the living room from 5PM to 10PM carrying a wet bag weighing approximately 8-12 pounds, with a radio turned to static (or some other obnoxious sound) playing loudly. (Eat cold food with one hand for dinner)
2. At 10PM, put the bag gently down, set the alarm for midnight, and go to sleep.
3. Get up at 12 and walk around the living room again, with the bag, until 1AM.
4. Set the alarm for 3AM.
5. As you can't get back to sleep, get up at 2AM and make a drink and watch an infomercial.
6. Go to bed at 2:45AM.
7. Get up at 3AM when the alarm goes off.
8. Sing songs quietly in the dark until 4AM.
9. Get up. Make breakfast. Get ready for work and go to work (work hard and be productive)
Repeat steps 1-9 each night. Keep this up for 3-5 years. Look cheerful and together.
Lesson 4
Can you stand the mess children make? T o find out...
1. Smear peanut butter onto the sofa and jam onto the curtains.
2. Hide a piece of raw chicken behind the stereo and leave it there all summer.
3. Stick your fingers in the flower bed.
4. Then rub them on the clean walls.
5. Take your favorite book, photo album, etc. Wreck it.
6. Spill milk on your new pillows. Cover the stains with crayons. How does that look?
Lesson 5
Dressing small children is not as easy as it seems.
1. Buy an octopus and a small bag made out of loose mesh.
2. Attempt to put the octopus into the bag so that none of the arms hang out.
Time allowed for this - all morning.
Lesson 6
Forget the BMW and buy a mini-van. And don't think that you can leave it out in the driveway spotless and shining. Family cars don't look like that.
1. Buy a chocolate ice cream cone and put it in the glove compartment.
Leave it there.
2. Get a dime. Stick it in the CD player.
3. Take a family size package of chocolate cookies. Mash them into the back seat. Sprinkle cheerios all over the floor, then smash them with your foot.
4. Run a garden rake along both sides of the car.
Lesson 7
Go to the local grocery store. Take with you the closest thing you can find to a pre-school child. (A full-grown goat is an excellent choice). If you intend to have more than one child, then definitely take more than one goat. Buy your week's groceries without letting the goats out of your sight. Pay for everything the goat eats or destroys. Until you can easily accomplish this, do not even contemplate having children.
Lesson 8
1. Hollow out a melon.
2. Make a small hole in the side.
3. Suspend it from the ceiling and swing it from side to side.
4. Now get a bowl of soggy Cheerios and attempt to spoon them into the swaying melon by pretending to be an airplane.
5. Continue until half the Cheerios are gone.
6. Tip half into your lap. The other half, just throw up in the air.
You are now ready to feed a nine- month-old baby.
Lesson 9
Learn the names of every character from Sesame Street , Barney, Disney, the Teletubbies, and Pokemon. Watch nothing else on TV but PBS, the Disney channel or Noggin for at least five years. (I know, you're thinking What's 'Noggin'?) Exactly the point.
Lesson 10
Make a recording of Fran Drescher saying 'mommy' repeatedly. (Important: no more than a four second delay between each 'mommy'; occasional crescendo to the level of a supersonic jet is required). Play this tape in your car everywhere you go for the next four years. You are now ready to take a long trip with a toddler.
Lesson 11
Start talking to an adult of your choice. Have someone else continually tug on your skirt hem, shirt- sleeve, or elbow while playing the 'mommy' tape made from Lesson 10 above. You are now ready to have a conversation with an adult while there is a child in the room.
**This is all very tongue in cheek; anyone who is parent will say 'it's all worth it!' Share it with your friends, both those who do and don't have kids. I guarantee they'll get a chuckle out of it. Remember, a sense of humor is one of the most important things you'll need when you become a parent!
For anyone else reading this - I'm thrilled that you are all enjoying it, as I did - immensely. However, I DID NOT write it! It was sent in an email from a friend of mine... and I'm not sure who the original author is.
This is meant to be funny, not TOTALLY serious. Although sometimes this is how it feels! I saw it on Facebook, I can't take credit, but I wanted to share. :)- M***** <-------That is my step-sister-in-law.
Thanks for the post. It made me crack up, hope it made all of you laugh too. Of course I wouldn't change being a mother for the the world there are just some of those days where all of the above happens and it can drive you crazy =) Happy New Year's everyone!
Now the reason I titled this one Steal is cause my step-sister-in-law (catch all that =D ) posted it today, but I loved it so much I am stealing it from her (of course though I will give credit to her who got in in an email from a friend who got it from somewhere else).

Busy Bee
So it has been awhile since my last post. I have been busy! I have been continuing with the boys' school. That takes up a lot of my time... well it is actually all the prep work going into each month that is the busy part. Mark and I celebrated our birthdays back in October. Had a family party with his family to celebrate. We didn't do anyhting special becuase we had a bad week that week and weren't in the mood to celebrate (long story still not wanting to share still =( ). Then there was Halloween which was a lot of fun. We went trick-or-treating with our really close friends in their neighborhood.
We have been spending time just as a family a lot lately. For Thanksgiving we spilt it between my family in the AM, then Mark's family in the PM. I spent a lot of time that day talking with my nephews girlfriend, giving her the lowdown on family dynamics and general chitchat. She happens to be the youngest sister of 3 guys I has in high school and band with so we have mutual friends. Unfortunately Mark had to work the day after Thanksgiving and then Sat morning =( which sucked but hey he got paid! It wasn't as if we were doing anything, especially going out shopping. I had to deal with that madhouse when I worked for Target. I will never go shopping that weekend. Plus the things I want to get are never whats on sale, so to me it isn't worht it. A lot of the deals are actual not that good and the best time is about 1-2 weeks after, thats when you get really great deals! A lot of the "winter" clothing goes on clearance so you save more money that way.
I have had a few "showcases" (Pampered Chef, Hush, Tastefully Simple, etc.) that I have attended in the last few weeks to "have bodies" there for my friends who have hosted. Haven't bought anything though. One of my closest friend's younger sister just had her bridal shower last week (thrown together winthin a week too) and I helped out by doing the games. She is getting married in a few days from now and I wish her and her soon-to-be hubby and the happiness in the world. They are a great couple and have known them for awhile now.
We have finally finished our Christmas shopping. I went to the local Dollar Tree on Wednesday and stocked up on stuff for the boys. A lot of puzzles and coloring book and workbooks for school. Pencils and crayons for Hunter and crayons for Jaxon. I also found some books I think they will like. I also got some candy for their, Marks and my stockings. Spent more than I thought, but then again I haven't been since last Christmas and I have been wanting to do a June run to find stuff for summer and prep for their "new school year". Then yesterday we finished up shopping at Traget for the "big" presents. Clothes, toys, few snacks that the boys were out of. Again spent a little more than what we had thought to spend, but Target has something about it that makes you spend more than planned. We still need to get my parents gift, a VISA gift card, so they can have a nice dinner out and a movie, since they are always stressing about money and never treat themselves, then you add in that it is a big thank you from us for letting us stay with them this past 1.5 yrs. Next up is Christmas Eve with Mark's family for Christmas and Mark's dad's 77th birthday (he was born on Christmas Day!). We have a big dinner and spend time together. Christmas Day will be with my family. Big dinner and relaxing. It is nice that we don't have to run around on Christmas especially since the boys just want to play with their toys all day. We might visit our friends too but it just depends how we feel. Then the next day is my high school band reunion at our old directors house. I have yet to go but I am excited to go this year. I will go by myself, Mark will stay with the boys, andI feel he might be a little bored since he wouldn't know anyone and all we will be doing is catching up and reminiscing, but I am going to try to convince my friend A to go with me.
I had 2 of my cousins come over on Friday to hang out and we also took them out to celebrate their birthdays (one is Nov and one is in dec). The boys had so much fun playing with them. I havent laughed so hard in a long time. I will miss the older one when she graduates hs this june and goes back east for college, but I will have the other one here still and hope to watch her perform in her hs marching band more! I have also been hanging out with A alot or as much as our schedules will allow. We had a Harry Potter movie party to celebrate the new one that came out, plus have had some girls nights out. I am also hoping to get my best friends from high school together again for a holiday dinner. I want to make it at least a yearly thing. I just need to see if we can get our schedules to mash up.
The biggest news for us is that I have gone back to school!!!! I am doing an online program through Ashford University (an friend from high school works from them and attends also and told me about it) to get my BA in Psychology and then from there I am going to go to nursing school. I am doing the BA firt because it is all online and since we still only have 1 car it works out better. Once I am done with the BA both the boys should be in school and we will have a second car so then I can go to classes when they are in school. I have just finish my last assignment for my 3rd week so I am free until Jan 4 when I start back for the 4th week of my first class (which last 5wks). There has been some adjusting and juggling but we will make it work. Mark has been so supportivethrough these past few weeks which just makes me love him even more.
Other than that life is moving along.
Time to get in the shower while the boys are asleep!
Bye for now!
